Tamarind Flavor of India’s menu reads like a love letter to Indian cuisine, featuring carefully crafted dishes that captivate the senses. Their Chicken Biryani is a fragrant symphony of spices and tender chicken layered with perfectly cooked basmati rice, while the Tandoori Chicken delivers a smoky, charred flavor that’s juicy and flavorful. For South Indian enthusiasts, the Mysore Masala Dosa is a must-try—a thin, golden crepe of lentil and rice crowned with spicy chutney that pairs wonderfully with sides like Sambar and Raita. The extensive dosa selection—from the creamy Butter Dosa to the fresh and herby Cilantro Dosa—demonstrates their deft touch with this beloved staple.

Starters such as the Chilly Chicken and Chicken 65 showcase bold flavors and delicate textures, evoking a satisfying crunch that lingers on the palate. For those craving rich, saucy delights, dishes like Tikka Masala, Makhani, and Lamb Vindaloo burst with vibrant, nuanced spices, skillfully balanced to both comfort and excite. The inclusion of vegetarian gems such as Saag Paneer, Channa Masala, and the smoky Baingan Bhartha ensures everyone finds their perfect flavorful escape.

Complement your meal with freshly baked Butter Naan or soft, garlicky Naan, ideal for scooping up the luscious curries. Don’t miss their refreshing Mango Lassi, a cool, silky yogurt drink that perfectly tempers the spice, or their selection of desserts like Gulab Jamun and homemade Kulfi—each bite a sweet and velvety finale to your dining journey.

Guests consistently rave about not only the authentic flavors but the impeccable hospitality. Anna Sene fondly recalls a birthday celebration, highlighting the “out of this world” tikka masala and chai that left everyone smiling with satisfaction. Chris Clark praises the polite staff and the genuine family vibe, while Madelyn D’s description of tender goat curry paired with garlic naan confirms the kitchen’s commitment to quality and authenticity. Rajeev Thomas echoes these sentiments, emphasizing the fresh and unique dishes that stand apart from typical Indian-American buffets, elevating Tamarind Flavor of India to a cut above the rest.

I went to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we had the samosas, chai, Saag, and chicken tikka. The tikka masala was out of this world! Same goes for the chaai. Everything was delicious. We were so happy eating the food, honestly. We plan to come back. Highly recommend the place

Ole Indian family restaurant. Flavor is perfect one of the best around! However portions are noticably smaller but still filling. Menu covers all the classics. Staff is very polite and the restaurant its self is in an old mansion painted entirely pink? so you can't miss it. Parking is free in the evenings so find somewhere on the street it's a safe college dorm neighborhood!

100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a good spot for Indian food. The food was yummy. Portions and value are great. Service was fast. Atmosphere was cozy. I ordered the south indian style goat curry with dal which came with rice. I also got their garlic naan. The curry tasted delicious and the goat meat was tender and not at all rubbery. To my surprise, I also noticed that the goat meat pieces had lots of meat on them compared to bone unlike several other places i’ve tried this dish at. Flavor was on point with everything. For anyone concerned about their spice tolerance, they provided options for mild, medium, and hot spice levels.

This place was a pleasant surprise. We were welcomed in by very friendly hosts. It is relatively small but the array of foods were amazing. Very fresh and unique choice of dishes, different from the typical American-Eastern Indian restaurant buffet selections. Love the tastes of everything. Great mutton curry. Breads were fresh and soft. We could not stop eating. Prices were fair. I think Indians are tough customers to please because most of us are used to our mother's cooking. So restaurants have hard time competing with our high standards but I think this place really stood out in terms of freshness and flavors. And unforgettably friendly hosts made the visit memorable...

I usually do takeout, but four of us dined in this time. Their food is good, but it can be really spicy. Someone in our group asked for level 1 out of 10 and still thought it was super spicy, so just keep that in mind when ordering!
